1 lb carrots, sliced into 4” sticks
4–5 cloves garlic, sliced or minced
1–2 tbsp real maple syrup
2–3 tbsp butter

Bacon Potato Gruyère Torte:
1 lb thin bacon
3/4 cup grated gruyère
1–2 yellow potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
Garlic salt & pepper to taste
Parchment paper for baking

Slice potatoes and store in cold water to prevent browning.
Mix and chill bacon strips and gruyère for easy layering.
Wash and prep carrots for quick sautéing.

Maple-Glazed Garlic Carrots (Serves 4)
Ingredients:
1 lb carrots, cut into 4” sticks
4–5 cloves garlic, sliced or minced
2–3 tbsp butter
1–2 tbsp real maple syrup
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add carrots and sauté until tender but still firm (~5–7 min).
Add garlic and cook 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in maple syrup, coating carrots well, simmer 1 more minute.
Plate carrots and drizzle any remaining sauce over top. Sprinkle with parsley.
Bacon Potato Gruyère Torte (Serves 4–6)
Ingredients:
1 lb thin bacon
3/4 cup grated gruyère
1–2 yellow potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
Garlic salt & pepper
Parchment paper
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place bacon slices so half the strip is in the pan, half hanging over edge, no overlap on bottom.
Layer potatoes, cheese, and optional onion. After 2nd layer, build the center taller than sides (~2–3” above pan).
Fold hanging bacon over the top, cover with parchment and a pie tin to prevent curling.
Bake 2–3 hours until bacon is crispy and potatoes fork-tender. Drain excess grease as needed.
Let torte rest 10 minutes before slicing.
