Grilled Romaine Salad Recipe + Full March 2026 Meal Plan
Our Grilled Romaine Salad brings freshness, flavor, and elegance to your table — the perfect start to your March 2026 menu series. Crisp, smoky romaine hearts are paired with creamy gorgonzola or blue cheese dressing, sweet dried cherries, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a gourmet appetizer you can easily make at home.
Ingredients (Serves 4):
12 romaine hearts
1/2–3/4 cup gorgonzola or blue cheese crumbles
6 oz sour cream
4 oz mayonnaise
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cracked black pepper
1 tbsp pineapple juice
1/4 cup dried cherries
2–3 tbsp bacon-flavored olive oil
Balsamic glaze (see tips below)
Instructions:
Prep the romaine: Wash and halve romaine hearts. Brush lightly with bacon-flavored olive oil.
Grill: Cook romaine hearts on a medium-high grill 1–2 minutes on top until slightly charred but still crisp.
Make the dressing: Mix gorgonzola/blue cheese crumbles, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, granulated garlic, sugar, cracked black pepper, and pineapple juice. Chill until ready to serve.
Assemble the salad: Plate the grilled romaine hearts, add a dollop of dressing, sprinkle dried cherries, and drizzle balsamic glaze in a zig zag pattern left to right, top to bottom.
Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
Balsamic Glaze Tip:
Simmer equal parts sugar and balsamic vinegar until it becomes syrupy. Drizzle over the salad just before serving for a beautiful finish.
